fun with family

the girls had been waiting for three weeks to go to their aunt and uncle's house for a private sleepover. reese marked days of her calendar methodically every morning without fail. we finally took them to los colinas on friday to see uncle rex and aunt candilicious (their affectionate term for leanne). they had such a great time swimming, making their own pizzas and brownies, watching movies, eating LOTS of candy and having chocolate chip pancakes. since i was not invited, i do not have pics of the event, but here are a few of the famous mustangs of los colinas.

jackson's new tooth

jackson finally let us open up his mouth for a tooth picture today and he didn't even bite us! he is such a cutie. we also took a pic of his eyes. what color are they going to be????

today is also a very special day! my husband and i have been married for 13 years!! he is such a great man and a wonderful partner to do life with. he is funny, handsome, athletic, smart, our spiritual leader, a good cook, a fantastic dad and there is nobody i would rather be stuck with for the rest of my life!! love you babe!

catching up on blogs

for those who care or just want to see updated pictures. here is what has happened since the last blog. we went to see my only nephew (no pressure intended rex and leanne) in bandera for one night.

then we were off to spend the 4th of july in fredricksburg for our annual camping trip with the taylors and the wilsons.

when we returned, we decided we didn't get enough fishing on the camping trip, so we went with shannon, lexie and meagan to catch some whoppers. here is a pic of shannon kissing the fish for good luck.

finally, we cashed in on the girls' free ticket to six flags (for reading 6 extra hours for school). this is our family pic from the top of the big orange lookout tower.

i just love summer and the care-free hectic-ness of it all. is that even a word? now i'm off to wash 2 weeks of clothes!
