my big girl turned 11 years old this week. she opted for a small party (my fave) with a couple of friends and a movie. these girls were so much fun and entirely goofy. they jumped on the trampoline, played killer, watched harry potter and stayed up talking until 6 a.m.

mackenzie is truly sweet, honest, sensitive, fun, goofy and an all around good kid. happy birthday to you, kenz!

the girls finished thier soccer season on saturday and to celebrate, they wanted to go see their granny and grandpa mac. they were tipped off earlier in the week that grandpa mac had made two additions to the varmint's roost, but he would not reveal what they were. so, we headed out to the pmf to find out. much to their delight, g-mac added a swing and a fireman's pole to the roost. jackson was just happy to ride on the tractor!

we cruised down to the motherland on friday with all but reese (she opted for a night at a friend's house). we had dinner with some old friends and took in an aggie baseball game.

time for a big boy bed

jackson is officially in a big boy bed! here he is helping his daddy transform the crib into a toddler bed.

yet another field trip

for making her a.r. goal, mackenzie was able to go on a field trip to the park. jackson and i came along for fun and to take some pictures.

a banner day

the girls each had soccer games today and both of their teams won. it was extra fun because aunt candy and unclelicious came to watch.

my kind of week

this was the week of field trips for the girls. on monday mackenzie's class went to camp carter and learned about science in an outdoor learning program. on wednesday we had a field trip to the park with reese's class. and on friday, we had half a day of field day before it was rained out.

jackson loves mowing in the backyard! he is usually so close to whomever is mowing that it is hard to turn the real mower.

another muddy weekend

we went to the farm this weekend and did some tadpole catching (a.k.a. playing in the mud).

then granny watched the kiddos while i got my warrior on!

my bro, paul and i ran the warrior dash on sunday. it was crazy fun!! we swam through a pond, crawled under barbed wire and leaped over flames.

for the last time...colin stayed home to study. only one more week until graduation!!!
