awards out the wazoo

at the end of the year awards ceremonies, my kids scored some awards...

 mackenzie got a plaque in 5 out of 6 classes for highest average and all-year 'a' honor roll

 reese broke the school record for ar points with 1062 points, all year 'a' honor roll 

and highest average in history.  

jack received a national physical fitness award, ar award, 

jump rope for heart award and a couple of others

donkeys at the nursing home

a friend of mine called me and asked if i would help her

take a couple of her donkeys up to the nursing home for western day.

of course i said yes!

 we walked tinkerbelle up and down the hallways and the residents LOVED her! 

(the other donkey did not cooperate).

end of the school year fun with jack

jackson's end of the year parties were quite exciting.  to celebrate all they learned 

about texas, all of the kids in kindergarten went to our local park and had a "texas round up."

jack dressed accordingly... 

 they had stick horse races

 tug of war

 and sang songs about texas as well as reciting many facts about texas

 they also celebrated the end of the school year with popsicles this week

winkler wedding

 colin officiated the wedding and it was so beautiful...but these are the only pics i have of it.

well, we were out of town attending a wedding on her birthday, so we had

 to do some celebrating in the hotel room.

 then we went to a local nature reserve

 we saw snakes, butterflies, prairie dogs, roadrunners, and more...

 a trip to bahama bucks was a must

 and then the next weekend she invited her besties for some swimming, steaks, 

boudain, and games at the state park.

happy bday to the best 15 year old i know!!

family photo shoot

one of our friends took us out to the country to have some family pictures.  i thought they turned out fabulous.  here are a few of them

 love the smiles on my kids' faces on this next one...

 she even got one of the whole fam that turned out pretty good

they don't always enjoy having their pictures taken, but these memories will last a long time!
