daddy's helper

we are working on a home improvement project in our house and jackson cannot seem to stay out of the room. he is fascinated with watching his daddy work. here he is putting on his safety glasses. there is nothing like a man in safety glasses to make a girls heart flutter.

not too shabby

the recession has inspired me to see if i can grow my own veggies. my first experiment...bell peppers!

first haircut

jackson had his first haircut today! he was so excited to sit in the yellow car.

then the barber put the hair apron around his neck and it was all downhill from there.

he hated it. he cried the whole time. i tried to get him to smile afterwards, but this was all he could muster up.

fun in florida

we went to florida this past week to celebrate father's day with my dad. we had a great, relaxing vacation and the weather was perfect.

we drove to the keys one day and had lunch at a restaurant where there were giant tarpon coming in and out of the lagoon area. we even saw a nurse shark. on the beach at the keys (in islamorada) the water was a soothing 97 degrees. colin tolerated it, but said he felt like he took a 4 hour bath that day.

uncle rex and aunt candilicious came for a day and played with us on the beach. dad took us out to a really nice restaurant for dinner for father's day (happy father's day to us)!

a family tradition...digging holes in the beach. jackson loved it and it contained him wonderfully!

we also went snorkeling, played coconut football, swam in the pool and created ocean habitats. we saw a seahorse, tarpon, a shark, a flounder, crabs, shrimp and pencil fish all in their natural habitat. thanks paw paw for a great time!

so long soccer...

the girls had their final soccer game of the season today. they both played terrific. mackenz scored 2 goals and reese scored 1! later we went to rosa with the rothenbergers and the mccolloughs, then to some water slides, reagan's game, and finished with a bike ride to french lake. here are some pics from the day.
