i found this in the refrigerator yesterday. if you can't tell, it is a fresh stick of butter that someone couldn't resist. the teeth marks happen to match perfectly with jack's.

maybe thats why he has the energy to do this...

peace out

reese was working on her spelling words yesterday and was supposed to be using each word in a sentence. one of her spelling words was "peace." she told mackenzie her sentence was going to be "peace out." mackenzie informed her that this was an incomplete sentence and maybe she should say, "Jesus brings us peace." reese replied, "nah..i'll just write 'peace out suck-ah!' that's my girl!

sew much fun

for Christmas this year mackenzie asked for a sewing machine. since she has such an interest in design and fashion, granny and grandpa mac got her one! we opened it this week to see if we could figure out how it works. i don't know anything about sewing (i know this is shocking to most of you), but i really would like to learn. so...we are off on an adventure...

mackenzie is a natural...

this is her practice fabric for various stitching. not bad for her first time! i don't plan on making my kid's clothes from here on out, but i do have a couple of projects in mind. i'll keep you posted if any of them turn out okay.

happy birthday oma

oma came up to visit us for her birthday. we played games, went to church and

ate some yummy food.

colin and the kiddos decorated a cake and some mini cupcakes.

thanks for making the trek up here. we had fun!

too cold to fish?

i think not! it was cold, but it's never too cold to fish.

some sweet friends came to visit yesterday!

this man has more patience than most folks i know.

these guys are buddies. jack-man said, "i can't wait to see brian and tackle him!" he was able to wrestle with matthew and brian before we went fishing. he loves the guthrie boys!

the scale said 9.6 lbs...the 'big un' of the day.

this guy was the host who caught the most. his stink bait made jackson gag.


brian caught a couple, but this is the only one he actually touched. thanks shane and guthrie fam for coming to visit ! we missed you crystle!

happy b-day jack jack!

jackson has been celebrating his birthday all week. we celebrated with granny and grandpa mac on monday and the mccolloughs and rothenbergers on thursday. friday we took him to his choice of restaurant (chick-fil-a) and stayed up at the church until almost midnight playing games.

colin made this cake for jack...so cute!

thanks to everyone that sent him presents. he is living high on the hog!
