there have been two snake sightings in our neighborhood in the last 10 days. to protect us from these animals that scare the poo out of me, we got this guy...

visitors for the weekend

the weekend started off with a bang! reese's teacher called me to see if we would host the class pets (hairless rats) for labor day weekend. who was i to refuse?

then the walkers came for the morning to go fishing and explore the state park.

the rothenbergers came on saturday afternoon so they could hear colin's first sermon

as pastor of fbc. (sorry to jack for being behind my ginormous head).

later in the weekend, we decided to feed the spiders in the backyard and catch it on film...so fun.

thanks to all creatures great and small who made our labor day weekend special. the only one not invited back is the snake!!

our new home

as promised...here are some pics of our new home. we are finally settling in. the last box was opened yesterday! thanks to all of those who have been praying for us. thanks also to all our friends in fort worth and at gbc. we love yall and will miss you dearly. we appreciate all of your support and well wishes. and we are so excited about the adventures ahead. come visit us anytime!

much to tell

since my last blog...much has happened. colin was called to be the senior pastor in a small town in texas, he was ordained, we moved, the girls started school, and jackson and i became annual passholders for texas state parks (we didn't want to be left out of the excitement). i will post a pic of our new home soon. until then...here are some pics from the first day of school.
