we love the aggies!

once a year we try to go to an a&m game with the rothenbergers and our families.

regardless of the score, we love cheering for our aggies. here are some pics from a couple of weeks ago.

my brother and i used to do this with our kitty when we were little. i made the mistake of telling my kiddos about it.

one crazy night in the country...

so...colin and i were trimming some webworms out of our trees at 9 p.m. one evening. after we placed them in the trashbag, i left the bag on the back porch because colin wanted to double-bag them to make sure the worms would not escape. so, colin went to the garage to get another garbage sack and i went inside. after he double baged the webworms, he threw the bags in the trashcan. about 20-30 minutes later, buster was barking constantly. being the good owner, i went to investigate and see what it was he saw (we have seen deer, a snake, a skunk, etc). i couldn't find anything, so i let him out of the gate to find what had spooked him. it wasn't long before i heard the muffled meow coming from the trash can. baxter was double-bagged in with the worms! curiosity almost killed the cat!! but, buster saved the day!!

girls-only aggie game

i did some heavy recruiting for the aggies this weekend. we went to the game, shopped at the aggie bookstore and purchased some maroon out shirts.

then we went and saw the coolest tree on campus.

these are the beautiful flowers outside of the rec center. i am still bummed and bitter that a&m got the rec center after i graduated! but, truth be told, it is probably a gift from God that it happened that way.

the game was less than exciting for these future aggies, but the company and the rest of the day made up for it!
