some catching up to do...

sorry for the two month delay...but the following is a brief summation of the last two months...

we went to uncle rex and aunt candy's house for a scavenger hunt and pre-Easter celebration.  good food and fun to see family.

the girls team won fourth in district in the horse quiz bowl contest.

mackenzie won third place in her age division

shane, jackson and i went fishing to celebrate his birthday

we both caught big uns!

 and jack caught one too

semi-warm weather

 the weather warmed up a little this weekend and so we headed to the state park for some hiking.

we had a picnic, walked all around the lake and did a little fishing.

it was a beautiful, relaxing saturday in God's creation.

track season is upon us

the weather has been a bit too cold in my opinion, but they started track season anyway.  

mackenzie is in 5 events including pole vault...

the 100 and 300 meter hurdles...

the triple jump...

and the mile relay.  i love watching her compete, but am 

certainly looking forward to the warmer weather. 

11 years old!

 my sweet baby girl turned 11 a couple of weeks ago and i am just now getting around to blogging about it. 

 she has been wanting a bean bag for a couple of years, so we got her a

giant foam bag...she loved it!

 colin made her blue pancakes for breakfast

 and some beautiful cupcakes

she had a few friends over to play wii, dance, hang out and spend the night.  

it was a very low-key, fun b-day!  i am so proud of Reese and the beautiful, loving, sweet young lady she is!
