for Christmas this year mackenzie asked for a sewing machine. since she has such an interest in design and fashion, granny and grandpa mac got her one! we opened it this week to see if we could figure out how it works. i don't know anything about sewing (i know this is shocking to most of you), but i really would like to learn. so...we are off on an adventure...

this is her practice fabric for various stitching. not bad for her first time! i don't plan on making my kid's clothes from here on out, but i do have a couple of projects in mind. i'll keep you posted if any of them turn out okay.

That is so exciting!!! I was her age when I learned to sew!
PS - We just moved to Aggie Country so let us know when ya'll are in town :)
I have starting teaching LeAnn to sew. Too bad y'all are still not living in FW I could teach her too.
