mexico mission trip #6

the mission trip to doctor arroyo is something we look forward to each year.  although we had some passport issues before we left, the trip itself always challenges us to a deeper relationship with Christ as well as a desire to examine the way we live each day
even the kids on the trip bonded like never before
there is always a special kid that i want to bring home with me...
this year it was my sweet diego
i doubt you can see it, but 22 people in a 15 passenger van.
and nothing but smiles!  (notice i'm in the front seat).
 my little thespians
 isn't she angelic?
 reese teaching tavo a song
 vbs craft time
this one is for u matteo
mackenzie and some of the boys in the village
in addition to vbs in local villages, the boys dug holes to put up a wall around the complex, we visited some church members, and had a couple of services in the local hospital.
we went to real de catorce for a day of shopping and hanging with the group.  some of us decided to go to a local restaurant (without a translater).  we had such a great adventure and the food was absolutely delicious (even though some of us didn't know what we were ordering).
this pic was taken on the roof of the hotel where they filmed "the mexican."
the last day of the trip we went to a wedding of some of the mexican missionaries.  it was fun time and something new for everyone.  to my surprise, jackson was the first one on the dance floor.
this is the couple that got married.  we met them the first year we went to mexico, but they didn't start dating until last summer.  these sweet friends scheduled their wedding so that our church could attend...we were so glad they did!  it was a blessing to be a part of their special day!
