a good weekend

this past weekend was a bunch of fun! friday was field day at mackenzie's school. she won first place in the three legged race with her friend amber.

friday night we decided to start the star wars trilogy and watched episode I and II. (yes, we are way behind the times!)

on saturday, mackenzie won 2nd place in a district-wide music memory contest. we are so proud of her!

saturday night we watched star wars episode III. it was so scary that reese and mackenzie slept in our bed that night.

the highlight of the weekend was mother's day. we celebrated by spending the night at the great wolf lodge with the rothenbergers. it was sooooo much fun.

ready for rice

jackson had his first taste of rice cereal last night. the pictures made me laugh. as you can tell, at his 4 month appointment this week he was off the charts in the weight category.

can somebody help me out of this thing when i'm done?

daddy is just making me look silly.

i think i'm gonna need some more of that!

not much to say

so when i first started blogging, one of my brutally honest friends said, "i didn't know you had anything interesting to say." well, as it turns out...she was right. thanks brandi. so, here are some pics to enjoy from mayfest.

family golf night

the golf program that the girls are in has family golf night once a month. so the girls, jackson and i met some friends over at the benbrook par 3 (colin had to study for finals). this was the girls first time to play a real game so i was a little nervous that they would get frustrated. however, that was not the case. i think they had as much fun playing golf as they did driving the cart. they both had great attitudes. reese even came home and told her dad, "you have NEVER seen anyone hit the ball like me!"
