hide and seek

aunt candy and unclelicious came over for the evening on saturday. we went out to eat and then played a few rounds of hide and seek. if you don't know my brother... he is very tall and i was quite impressed with this hiding spot in particular.

whoever hides with jackson has a bit of a disadvantage...

2 crazy weeks

we had a very busy Christmas break this year. we started out by going to houston for colin's old firms' Christmas dinner party. they took us to a very nice restaurant with leather wall tiles. colin is smelling the leather here.

then we went to port arthur for a week at oma's house. she took us to chuck e cheese, treated all the girls to a pedicure and made us some yummy food. we also went for several walks, looked at Christmas lights, made cookies for santa, played games and made Christmas ornaments. it was fun and very busy.

we came home for one day to pack for our church family ski trip. we had a great time and loved the folks on the trip with us.

jackson was one of the littlest on the slopes, but he did great! he kept saying, "faster momma"!

what a wonderful surprise

we awoke to beautiful flakes falling from the sky this morning. my girls got ready and did their chores in record time so they could play in the snow. jack-jack ran around the backyard screaming with delight (not sure if it was the snow or the early morning outside play time).

thanksgiving

we had a great thanksgiving week at the pmf ranch shooting guns, roasting marshmallows, fishing, playing on the varmint's roost, hitting golf balls, eating yummy food, riding scooters and tractors and hanging with family. the only thing that could have made it better is if the aggies beat the horns. at this point, i kind of consider a 10 point loss to texas (no. 3 in the nation) a win. call me crazy. anyhoo...here are some pics...
