Mackenzie's Birthday

my first born celebrated her 9th birthday this weekend. she invited just a few girls to go to the farm where granny and grandpa mac live. they went exploring in the woods, hunted golf balls for money, swam in the lake, played on the varmint's roost (fort that grandpa mac made...with a zip line), watched star wars, ate cake and played in the hot tub. it was extra special because uncle rex and aunt candilicious came to visit. happy birthday mackenzie. i love you and i am so proud of you!

our doctor told us to slowly introduce jackson to some veggies in his diet. luckily, we had the camera on hand to capture just how much jackson likes greenbeans.

a good weekend

this past weekend was a bunch of fun! friday was field day at mackenzie's school. she won first place in the three legged race with her friend amber.

friday night we decided to start the star wars trilogy and watched episode I and II. (yes, we are way behind the times!)

on saturday, mackenzie won 2nd place in a district-wide music memory contest. we are so proud of her!

saturday night we watched star wars episode III. it was so scary that reese and mackenzie slept in our bed that night.

the highlight of the weekend was mother's day. we celebrated by spending the night at the great wolf lodge with the rothenbergers. it was sooooo much fun.
